IT has been over half a decade since former teacher Rachael DelTondo died a tragic death.
On Mother's Day of 2018, DelTondo was shot multiple times in her parents' driveway in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.

Who was Rachael DelTondo?
Rachael DelTondo was a former school teacher at Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School.
Not much is known about her before her untimely demise, but in 2016, she was reportedly suspended by her employer due to a police report stating that she was found with a 17-year-old student in a parked vehicle.
No charges had been filed against her at the time.
DelTondo was also reportedly engaged to a man named Frank Catroppa before her death.

What happened to Rachael DelTondo?
DelTondo was gunned down in front of her parents' home on May 13, 2018, just as she was getting dropped off.
According to reports, she had just gotten home after getting ice cream with her friends.
She was only 33 years old at the time of her death.
Per her neighbors, they had heard around 10 to 12 gunshots fired in her direction.

Her former fiance was initially a person of interest, but authorities say he was never a suspect.

Who is Sheldon Jeter Jr. and how is he related to the case?
Sheldon Jeter Jr was the student found inside a car with DelTondo in 2016.
He was a star athlete in his high school, and per his attorney, Michael Santicola, he and DelTondo were in a romantic relationship.
"It didn't start in the car," he said, per CBS News. "They had a relationship going on for quite some time."
Meanwhile, Rachael's mother, Lisa DelTondo, told 48 Hours that the two were never romantically involved.
"He was obsessed with her," Lisa said.
During the initial round of investigation, Jeter was questioned but was never charged.
According to a relative, the then-high school student was at home at the time of DelTondo's murder.
Fast forward to August 2023, he became the prime suspect.
"I want to acknowledge that Sheldon Jeter is the prime suspect in the investigation of her death. I have decided that the family of Rachael DelTondo deserves some level of closure,” Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier told NBC affiliate WPXI.
“I think people will speculate that there were sour feelings. Maybe jealousy. I think we can probably establish stalking. When you look at where he was that night, and he had a pattern of stalking this young lady."
Lozier also previously claimed that reports noting that DelTondo had inappropriate relations with Jeter were all fabricated.
Meanwhile, Jeter's attorney stated that naming the student as a prime suspect begs of "desperation" on behalf of the district attorney's office.
"That certainly seems like much to do about nothing,” he told KDKA-TV.
“It seems like a strange announcement at this point in time five years later. Are we basically announcing that we don't have any evidence to charge anyone?"
In 2021, Jeter was already convicted of murder, but it was for the death of Tyric Pugh.
A jury found Jeter guilty of first-degree homicide, and he was subsequently sentenced to life in prison.
