“Home Alone” remains a beloved classic filled with iconic characters. While Macaulay Culkin undoubtedly stole the show, the bumbling burglars, Harry and Marv, have left an indelible mark on the franchise. Let’s take a look at what Harry and Marv, portrayed by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, have been up to since their memorable appearances.

Harry and Marv: The Wet Bandits

These two hapless burglars were known by their full names, Marv Merchants and Harry Lime. Harry, the shorter of the duo, was often seen sporting a classic small black hat that screamed “look at me, I’m a burglar.” He appeared to be the leader of the two-man gang and, despite being outsmarted by a child, was arguably the more intelligent of the pair.

According to Home Alone trivia, their gang name, the “Wet Bandits,” derived from their habit of leaving their victims’ taps running. They also made a return in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” where they managed to escape from prison and became known as the “Sticky Bandits.”

The Actors Behind Marv and Harry

Daniel Stern has had a long and successful career in Hollywood with 77 IMDb credits, although he may not be instantly recognizable in many of them. He is currently 61 years old and shares his life with his wife and three children.

Joe Pesci, on the other hand, appeared in numerous high-profile Hollywood films, including “Lethal Weapon 2,” “3,” and “4,” “Goodfellas,” “Raging Bull,” and “Casino.” Despite his impressive career, Joe retired from acting in 1999 and has made sporadic appearances in cinema since then. He has had two wives and one child over the years.

While Harry and Marv may be infamous for their failed attempts at burglary in “Home Alone,” the actors who portrayed them, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, have each carved out their own unique paths in the world of entertainment.
