Back in No Doubt, Gwen Stefani was the quintessential 90s tomboy, hanging out with an all-male band and wearing low-slung jeans with vintage t-shirts ripped into crop tops, topped off with braces and some seriously experimental hairstyles. While she might have glammed up a bit since her No Doubt days, Gwen is still a huge fan of menswear-influenced style, and says she feels like a tomboy in a sea of other girlier pop singers: "I usually put pants on... I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing...I was more, in the band, like a tomboy"
