Four killed were all adults
The four victims that lost their lives were all adults, police say.
The victims were 20, 22, and 59.
The other deceased adult hasn't been identified yet.
Suspect cornered in an alley
The suspect in the mass shooting was eventually cornered in an alley wearing a bulletproof vest that "had multiple magazines" inside, Philadelphia Police said in a chilling update on Monday night.
He also had "a scanner and an AR-style rifle and a handgun underneath his body," the force confirmed.
Police don't see connection
At this point, police don't believe there's any connection between the shooter and the victims.
"We have absolutely no idea why this happened."
