Robert Hall found guilty of killing attorney Emmett Corrigan

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Jurors have just found Robert Hall guilty of murder.

Police say Hall shot 30-year-old Emmett Corrigan in the head and chest in a Walgreens parking lot in March of 2011. It was disclosed in court testimony that Corrigan and Hall's wife, Kandi, were having an affair.

The jury deliberated for about eight hours.

"It was very important to our office that Mr. Hall be found guilty of murder," prosecutors say. "We look forward to the court sentencing him as a murderer."

Robert Hall worked for the Ada County Sheriff's Office in the IT department, however, he was a civilian worker.

He had originally been charged with first degree murder, but prosecutors aren't seeking the death penalty.

Kandi said in court that she had sex with Corrigan the night he was killed. She began working for Corrigan at his law office and described the office environment as a "dog and pony show."

Hall is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 13. He faces life in prison.
