PRINCE William will not be attending the BAFTAs in person this year.
The royal, 37, who is president of the British Academy of Film & Television Arts, will make a speech via video link instead of attending the two day virtual event at London’s Royal Albert Hall next month.

There will be a small number of talent and presenters at the capital’s landmark, including hosts Clara Amfo, Dermot O’Leary and Edith Bowman, on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11.
But the Sun on Sunday can reveal that William will stay away for the first time since his appointment in 2010.
It comes after William had a pop at the lack of diversity in the nominations in his speech at the ceremony in February, last year, and Aussie actress Rebel Wilson took aim at the royals — and drew gasps by mentioning disgraced Prince Andrew when she introduced the award for Best Director.
A royal source added: "The reason he is not attending is because the ceremony is almost exclusively virtual."

Luvvies hosting the event are expected to make jokes about Will’s brother Prince Harry and Meghan’s recent bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
