NTA Awards 2021 winners LATEST: JLS performance raises the roof as Ant & Dec and Holly Willoughby rule star-studded bash

RIVALRY LIVES ON

This Morning fans claim to have spotted Ruth Langsford's "obvious disdain" for Phillip Schofield as they collected a National Television Award last night.

The pair took to the stage along with Holly Willoughby, Eamonn Holmes and the crew to accept the gong for Best Daytime show.

Holly and Phil thanked the audience but none of the other presenters got to speak.

Watching at home, one viewer wrote on Twitter: "It’s quite clear that the Ruth and Phil rivalry lives on and I am THRILLED #NTAs."

Ruth and Phil have put on a united front in the past year. They were friendly at the same event last year, and Ruth also comforted Phil following his emotional coming out speech on the This Morning sofa.

Their rivalry dates back to 2019 when Ruth filed a complaint with ITV after being upset by Phillip cutting her off abruptly during a link with her in the Loose Women studio.

It came amid complaints from other staff members of a toxic working environment at the channel.

PIERS MORGAN ‘CONGRATULATES’ ANT AND DEC

The former GMB host mocked: “Wow! What a shock! Congrats to Ant & Dec.

“Thoroughly deserved 20th consecutive win – the way they held those jungle contestants to account during the pandemic was absolutely brilliant.”

BRAVE FACE

Kate Garraway was left in tears on Good Morning Britain today as viewers shared their own heartbreaking experiences with coronavirus after her National Television Awards win last night.

The 54-year-old star was on the breakfast show bright and early after she broke down in tears yesterday when Finding Derek won the Authored Documentary category.

The documentary followed Derek's gruelling battle with coronavirus, which he was hospitalised with in March 2020 before spending over a year in intensive care.

Kate managed to put on a brave face while discussing her victory, telling co-host Martin Lewis that it was "bittersweet" as Derek was not well enough to attend the glitzy bash with her.

But it got all too much as fans sent in messages about their own coronavirus battles, with Martin telling fans that she'd had "tears in her eyes" while off-screen.

KATIE PRICE MADE HER FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE SINCE CALLING THE COPS

The 43-year-old model and activist took Harvey, 19, and her sister Sophie to the awards.

They’ve been nominated for the Authored Documentary category thanks to their heart-wrenching programme Harvey and Me.

An insider said: “Harvey has been incredibly excited about the ceremony and is heading down from his new college to London to attend.

“Katie is so happy for him and can’t wait to take him and spend some quality time with him at the bash.

“She’s so proud of him and the documentary so is really hoping they win.

“It’s all about Harvey and devoted mum Katie wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

The doting mum hasn’t been seen publicly after police were called to her home in Essex in the early hours of Monday morning.
