BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — You'll no longer hear country on the airwaves of 97.9 in the Treasure Valley. Cumulus Media in Boise announced that KQFC-FM is launching a new adult contemporary radio station known as 'Magic 97.9.'
Magic 97.9 is designed to be a community-focused radio station that plays a variety of music from the past five decades.
Lisa Adams will take over as Program Director for the station, after previously serving as program director for Hubbard Radio's KNUC-FM in Seattle. She has more than 25 years of experience in radio programming, and will be moving back to Boise for this job.
“I’m incredibly excited and blessed to start my new radio chapter back in a town I love and missed so much! And suddenly you know. It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings," she said.
