Kim Bokamper (born 1954) is a retired American football linebacker and defensive end who spent his whole nine-year career with the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. After playing college football at San Jose State University, Bokamper was chosen in the first round of the 1976 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. In the early 1980s, he was a part of the Dolphins’ Killer B’s defence and was a one-time Pro Bowler in 197In Super Bowls XVII and XIX, Bokamper started at right defensive end for the Dolphins. He was engaged in a memorable play against the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XVII, in which he deflected a ball attempt from Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann and almost intercepted the deflected throw in the end zone, nearly leading to a score. Sadly for Bokamper and the Dolphins, Theismann was able to knock the ball away from Bokamper and avoid the interception. Following his retirement, Bokamper worked as a broadcaster for WFOR-TV in Miami. Bokamper may be heard on WBGG-“Paul Miami’s and Young Ron Show” in South Florida whenever NFL news breaks. Along with Kenny Walker, Bokamper was a member of WQAM-morning AM’s crew. In 2008, he became the host of WQAM’s nightly “Dolphins Tonight” programme and launched “Bokamper’s Sports Bar & Grill,” a sports bar and restaurant in Plantation, Florida. In Miramar, FL, and Naples, FL, he has established “Bokamper’s Sports Bar & Grill.”
