I went to the UK's biggest IKEA and it was so intense - fake market music was playing and there was way too many people

A WOMAN took a solo trip to the biggest IKEA in the UK and was left exhausted by the “insane” experience.

Hannah Ricketts dubbed her trip “insane” and “intense” due to screaming children, too much tat to get through and even fake market noise in certain parts of the shop.

The 35-year-old arrived at the mammoth branch as soon as it opened on a Saturday morning.

However, she quickly realised that she was in for a busy morning after noticing lots of other people had the same idea.

Hannah’s first qualm was that the store was “filled with screaming children” but she vowed to not let it get in the way of her shopping experience.

As she browsed the Wembley, London branch, she was shocked by some of the things being flogged and documented her reactions to them in a vlog.

Her weird spots of the day were leather kitchen cupboard handles - which she feared would get “grubby” - and a lampshade that looked like a crumpled piece of paper.

Hannah narrated: “This has got to be one of the most intense shopping experiences.

“I’m purposefully filming when it’s not busy.

“It’s so loud, everyone’s screaming and crying.

“And to make it even more intense, they’ve got Moroccan market noises in the background.

“Just what you need on top of the kid’s screaming.”

Hannah struggled with everyone trying to squeeze around the bottom floor of the store with their trollies, as staff wouldn’t let them have wheely baskets downstairs.

The keen vlogger went into the shop hoping to leave with a laptop stand for her desk.

However, the intensity of the trip saw her soon give up on this idea.

After over half an hour browsing the store, she asked the camera: “Does anyone get to a point when they’re in IKEA and they’re like, ‘I’m done’.

“I’ve not even got to the warehouse bit yet.”

She continued: “Will I come to IKEA again? Probably not.

“If I do, it will be on a weekday and not in school holidays.

“I totally get it - it’s a good place to come with kids but it’s just a bit rough.”

Hannah was further disappointed on her trip by how many fake plants were being sold - and some were priced at a whopping £65.

The vlogger ended up queueing for 20 minutes to pay for her drawer organisers and cafetiere.

Reviewing her trip from the comfort of her car, Hannah said: “Honestly, I found that very stressful.

“It’s so busy - there’s just a constant flow of people going in.

“You’ve got to be in the right frame of mind for IKEA.

“Today was not that day.”
