I got dress coded at Disneyland because of a minor part of my outfit - I had to make a quick change

A WOMAN was left outraged after she was singled out by staff at Disneyland over an innocent part of her outfit.

Alexa, who shared her experience on TikTok, has been met with thousands of comments from surprised viewers.

She went to the magical park in a costume of her favourite Marvel character, but was quickly told to alter her outfit by Disneyland Staff.

The stylish version of Wanda Maximoff's Scarlet Witch costume featured red Doc Marten boots, black skinny jeans, a crop top, red arm gloves and Wanda's infamous headpiece.

The before and after photo of her outfit change revealed a miniscule tweak to the costume: removal of her headpiece.

She captioned the video: "So ridiculous 😭 I bought red docs just for this occasion, ain't no one stopping me from wearing my Wanda outfit."

Many viewers thought she had been dress coded for her crop top.

One said: "Why did I think someone dress coded you at Disneyland for showing midriff."

Another commented: "I guess they wanna save the magic.

"But not letting adults wear harmless costumes ruins the magic for them too. It’s not all about the kids."

Alexa responded to many of the comments, explaining the situation further.

She said: "We’re not allowed to wear costumes, apparently my Wanda headpiece made my outfit a “costume” and therefore I was not allowed to wear it."

Many commenters saw no issue with her outfit.

One viewer commented: "How is that any different than Mickey mouse ears?"

Alexa mentioned that another worker at the park said her reason for dress coding was "bulls**t", and he had seen many other people wearing the costume headpiece before.

She wore the crown for the rest of her visit and "not a single other person" gave her trouble.

Another Disney visitor was dress coded for her "revealing" cowl neck camisole.

Jordyn visited the Florida theme park earlier this month, where she was asked by staff to change into a more appropriate t-shirt.

According to the Disney website, guests should wear clothing that is comfortable and fits with the park's family-friendly theme.

It says: "Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. The parks are a casual, family-oriented environment.

"Ensuring that the parks are family-friendly is an important part of the Disney experience.

"In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense."
