I got botched Botox - it's frozen my face and I can't move my chin, it's so bad, my husband’s terrified of me

COSMETIC surgery, fillers and Botox are now more easily accessible than ever before.

But beauty fans who are keen to get their faces nipped and tucked should do as much research as possible before opting for the cosmetic treatment.

In fact, botched cosmetic procedures are on the rise which means it's more important now than ever before to be vigilant about who does your treatment and where you get it done.

There has been a big rise in untrained, unscrupulous and untraceable “ghosts” making thousands of pounds a month administering Botox or fillers in people’s homes and abandoning clients when things go wrong, a campaign group has said.

Ashton Collins, director of Save Face, a national, government-approved register of accredited non-surgical treatment practitioners said: “We’re very disappointed that the government has ignored the evidence we gave them about these ‘ghosts’ and the serious and permanent damage they do to their clients.”

One woman who recently experienced botched Botox is Megan Carilsle, who goes by the name of megmeghair on TikTok.

She revealed that she got Botox in her chin, but now it’s “messed up.”

Sharing a video to her thousands of followers with the caption: “Husband's worst fear”, Megan revealed that she had got botox injected into her chin.

It is not known why Megan opted for getting Botox in her chin, but according to cosmetic experts both women and men can benefit from Botox for chin reduction.

Benefits can include smoother skin, tighter pores, and decreased acne and redness.

Megan’s video, which has gone viral with over 418k ‘likes’ first filmed her face from the front.

Across the recording, she wrote: “Get Botox is your chin they said…wtf?”

Megan then tenses her lips to move her chin, before turning her head, so the side of her face is on show, to repeat the same movement.

It appears to show her chin is smaller, but the muscles make the chin appear in a different shape to what would usually be seen.

Her video sparked big conversations, with over 4k people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One wrote: “I feel like people who get Botox have no concept of what they look like.”

Another added: “Sometimes with chin Botox, when it first starts to kick in the muscle tries to push out where there’s the least neurotoxin. Will go away in days.”

A third said: “That happened to me too.”

Whilst someone else explained why it could be happening, by writing: “Muscle is still contracting so either it wasn’t enough to fully relax it or it just hasn’t kicked in all the way.
