DeLong was the primary profiler in the Unabomber investigation in San Francisco, California, and he worked on it for a number of years. Candice DeLong is the presenter of the Investigation Discovery shows Deadly Women and Facing Evil with Candice DeLong, which she broadcasts now. Clarice Starling, the protagonist of the film The Silence of the Lambs, has been likened to her on many occasions.
