'Let the hate go brother', say NFL fans as Eagles star sends NSFW message to Deebo Samuel after Super Bowl heartbreak

DEEBO Samuel was sent a brutal message by Philadelphia Eagles star Fletcher Cox after losing in the Super Bowl.

The wide receiver was in action as his San Francisco 49ers were beaten 25-22 in overtime by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Samuel, 28, had been aiming to win his first Super Bowl at the showpiece occasion in Las Vegas.

While he and his team-mates were also desperate to end the 49ers' Super Bowl drought dating back to 1994.

Samuel and Co raced out into a 10-0 lead during the first quarter, but were eventually beaten by some Patrick Mahomes brilliance.

Eagles defensive tackle Cox couldn't hide his joy at the result.

The 33-year-old was part of the Eagles team that were beaten 38-35 by the Chiefs in last year's Super Bowl.

But he does have a title to his name, having helped the Eagles to Super Bowl glory in 2018 - a fact he was keen to remind Samuel.

Cox posted a series of clown emojis on his Instagram story.

He then tagged Samuel, before writing: "Keep the Eagles out cho mouth boe."

The 12-year NFL vet then added: "I still got some you ain't got.

"Ya!! I been holding this one in son!!!!!

Responding to Cox's post, one fan wrote on social media: "This lame to me. It’s not like you beat them this year. You watching just like us. Let that hate go brother."

While a second agreed: "They both lost to the chiefs so I guess he can talk I mean."

A third reasoned: "He’s at the superbowl the other guys not end of discussion."

And another added: "I guess he wants more smoke next year?"

Back in May 2023, Samuel admitted: "(My) most hated team is the Eagles right now. 100 percent."

The 49ers beat the Eagles 42-19 during the regular season in December.

But last year the Eagles defeated the 49ers 31-7 in the NFC Championship game.
